Skiguide (the app called Skiguide and running on skiguide.app) provides information on ATES (Avalanche Terrain Exposure Scale) classified alpine ski tours in Norway. By using the app, you accept our terms of use as described below. Please read the terms carefully before proceeding.
Skiguide.app is developed and owned fully by Kvande EDB (organization number 934 343 697), Tuppeskogvegen 477, 3550 Gol, Norway.
Kvande EDB is responsible for the code and infrastructure that powers skiguide.app. This agreement also covers other domains that run the app, including topptur.guide, topptur.app, and tourguide.ski.
Arctic-365 AS (organization number 996 048 462), Hjalmar Johansens gate 12, 9007 Tromsø, and its contributors are responsible for the content and information in the app.
All intellectual property rights (both registered and unregistered) related to Skiguide belong to Kvande EDB. This includes copyright and trademark rights. Content and information from Skiguide may not be reproduced, published, distributed, or otherwise used for public or commercial use without written consent from Kvande EDB and Arctic-365 AS. End-users of Skiguide can freely use content from Skiguide for private use.
Kvande EDB cannot guarantee continuous availability of the Skiguide.app service. Due to maintenance, security, or capacity reasons, Kvande EDB reserves the right to restrict or discontinue the service as needed for the mentioned reasons.
Skiguide does not have any databases or persistent storage. No information is stored about users other than a unique app ID and some other state information on the phone (or other end-user device) to give you a better experience.
You must always make your own assessments based on observations in the terrain.
Use the information you get in the app as a tool and follow the advice given in the app and the mountain safety rules.
Always assess the risk in exposed areas by choosing where, when, and how you travel.
The information in the app is not always up-to-date, and there are errors and omissions.
The information you receive is often based on regional information and does not describe the conditions exactly where you are.
Information about weather and conditions is based on available observations and weather forecasts. Weather conditions change quickly and can therefore differ from what is forecasted.
Rapid changes in weather conditions can mean that route descriptions do not always match the conditions on the day you travel in the mountains.
Remember that terrain traps and other local conditions can rarely be accurately depicted, and you must always make a concrete assessment of local conditions.
Always follow the mountain safety rules (fjellvettreglene) and consult others who have recently been in the area you are traveling in.
You always use the information in the app at your own risk. By using the app, you accept the limitations and the limitation of liability.
The provider of the app and the individual contributors who provide the information in the app are not responsible for the consequences of using the information and disclaim any liability for direct and indirect losses.
The provider does not guarantee the accuracy of the information offered in the app. Neither the app provider nor any contributors shall be held liable for any direct, special, incidental, consequential, or other damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of business information, or other pecuniary loss) resulting from the use or inability to use the information in the app.
Kvande EDB and Arctic-365 AS reserve the right to change these terms of use at any time and will inform users and customers about the changes. Any changes will take effect immediately after they are published in the app or on our websites.
These terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Norway. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms shall be settled by Norwegian courts, with Nord-Troms og Senja tingrett as the legal venue.
